Well, HELLO housewares! As we stare down another gathering of the international food and housewares communities, we’ve got Chi-town on the brain. We’ve packed our Facebook fans, our Twitter followers, our fellow Pinterest pinners – all of our social-hungry audience – and we’re headed to McCormick Place to gather the good news happening throughout the Show floors. Get your hashtags ready, people, cause the party’s just about to start…
We, the Cooking with Caitlin crew, are headed north from Cincinnati to set up shop as social media central smack dab in the middle of the Show. You’ll be able to find us in the Grand Concourse Lobby across from the IBC; make plans now to cozy up with like-minded posters, pinners, and tweeters right there. And no matter where you are physically, meet up with all of us at hashtag #IHHS13. It’s the official stamp of conversation coming out of the International Home + Housewares Show 2013 and it’s the best way to connect to the latest, the greatest, the most colorful, the most clever, and the most interesting prototypes, personalities, and brands happening in that very moment.
During the Show, we’ve planned a whirlwind of events and you are invited to every single one. On Sunday and Monday we’ll host extra special editions of our weekly Twitter party, Foodies’ Night In (#FNIchat). On both days, between 3 and 4:30 CST, we’ll gather together savvy tweeters from all over the planet to dish on the highlights of the Show. With 15 carefully orchestrated questions – one pushed out every six minutes, and all tagged with #FNIchat – we’ll lead the charge on a most lively exchange. Sunday’s is brought to you by the chef-savvy cookware crafters at Meyer. And Monday’s is presented by the clever innovators of @GoodCookcom. Be sure to follow @cookingwcaitlin and @foodiesnitein for the full scoop on every single second, and to come ready for some supersocial action.
Leading up to the chats, meet us at the Cooking Theater or the Innovation Theater in the Lakeside Center. At just about Happy Hour on Saturday, Caitlin herself will be demonstrating some Cooking with Caitlin classics LIVE on the stage of the Cooking Theater. Be there for Caitlin’s twisted-up recipes and for the energy and candor unique to the Cooking with Caitlin experience. Then, head to Lakeside on Sunday afternoon for our presentation, “Content Marketing in the Social World”. At both events, we look forward to getting to meet you, and to learning about all you, your product, your brand have in the hopper.
The social swap on housewares has already started. Jump into the mix now by following #IHHS13. And, save a minute – or 60 – to stop by this coming Monday’s #FNIchat when we will jump-start the Twitterverse with a taste of what’s to come. We’ve titled the chat “International Foodies”, but it’s really “Getting Geeked for the #IHHS13”, and we’ve got a quick-fire game of wordplay all lined up. We’ll save you a seat at the #FNIchat table.
